Overview

One Ocean Diving is an extremely unique program and shark dive led by marine researchers trained by world renowned shark experts Ocean Ramsey & Juan Oliphant. We are the first company in the United States & Hawaii to offer freediving with sharks without a cage and we continue to maintain a perfect safety record.
Guests are taught what to do if a shark approaches them which is useful information they could use throughout the rest of their life. Guests are also taught about shark sensory systems, science, and can participate in data collection. Dives are recapped by the marine researchers who guide the dives (they are the first person in the water and the last person out and stay in the water with the guests the entire time) and conservation information is shared as well as opportunities to support and get involved. One Ocean Diving’s program is part of the One Ocean organization that does other conservation and research work around the world.

This was an unforgettable special experience! We were especially lucky for this trip as we encountered three Tiger sharks as soon as the boat stopped at its destined location. This tour was very informative made up of shark specialists and enthusiasts who share their passions for sharks and their important roles not only in the ocean, but also to us. They also debunked the fear of sharks by explaining who they are as animals, explained their behaviors as well as our own awareness in the water. We were accompanied by safety divers where I never once felt uncomfortable or fearful in the water. We were not only with the tiger sharks but also with beautiful Galapagos sharks. If you ever had an trepidation or fear of sharks, I recommend to at least try this tour as it will change your mind. If I am ever fortunate enough to do such a tour again, I will go with One Ocean Diving.

The crew was experienced good at letting us know what yo do and not to do and very funny which was good Once you get in the water damn so exciting we saw atleast 15 to 20 sharks anywhere from 10 feet away to 5 feet away the sharks were 8 to 12 feet scared me but also made me smile I am swimming with sharks if you get the chance please 🙏 do this you will not regret One Ocean drive I will be backkkkkkkkkk!!

The crew were great! Felt confident and comfortable the whole time. And plus the sharks!! Wow. A hammerhead too!
