What to Expect: We care about your health and safety. Please note that as of August 19, 2021, New York City is requiring a COVID-19 vaccination for admission to the Guggenheim for anyone who is eligible. At arrival, you will need to present valid vaccination documentation and a photo ID prior to gaining entry to the museum. Proof of vaccination may include NYC COVID Safe app, New York State Excelsior Pass, CDC Vaccination Card (or photo), NYC Vaccination Record, or an official immunization record from outside NYC or the U.S. More information can be found here. Children below the age of 12 will be allowed in with a vaccinated adult.

You’ll need to wear a three-ply mask regardless of vaccination status — staff is required to, too — practice social distancing, wash or sanitize your hands frequently, and pack light as our coat check is temporarily closed. Please plan ahead and read COVID-19 Safety Measures:

Interesting museum with a very small permanent collection. When we visited they had an exhibit of Alex Katz. It was ok but not great. We were able to see all of it in an hour.

Bought the tickets online and when I got to the museum in Bilbao, I was told I have the tickets for New York! They told me it happens all the time. Inquired about exchange of tickets, but no one wanted to deal with this. Had to buy tickets again. Terrible customer service. Very disappointed.

The building and gallery of impressionist artists was good. However, the art of Alex Katz was boring and I thought I was in a high school art class showing!! Sen his art back to Brooklyn!
