What to Expect: We care about your health and safety. Please note that as of August 19, 2021, New York City is requiring a COVID-19 vaccination for admission to the Guggenheim for anyone who is eligible. At arrival, you will need to present valid vaccination documentation and a photo ID prior to gaining entry to the museum. Proof of vaccination may include NYC COVID Safe app, New York State Excelsior Pass, CDC Vaccination Card (or photo), NYC Vaccination Record, or an official immunization record from outside NYC or the U.S. More information can be found here. Children below the age of 12 will be allowed in with a vaccinated adult.

You’ll need to wear a three-ply mask regardless of vaccination status — staff is required to, too — practice social distancing, wash or sanitize your hands frequently, and pack light as our coat check is temporarily closed. Please plan ahead and read COVID-19 Safety Measures:

Each year, more disappointing. Turning slowly and steadily into a tourist trap. Second tier exhibition, marginal permanent collection, bad illumination and now, rude personnel. Miles away from what Guggenheim used to represent.

The visit to this museum was a complete waste of time. The entire museum is dedicated to the painter alex Katz of whom I am not a particular follower or fan. a small wing of the museum features a small collection of Renoir , Picasso , Degas among others. I toured the rest in 10 minutes. Nothing to do with MOMA.

I was really disappointed by the Guggenheim. I had a citypass and had the option of either going to the Guggenheim or the top of the rock, I didn’t realise until I got to the Guggenheim that only 2 small floors out of the 5 were open. One was a verrrry abstract exhibition and the other was mostly Picasso, Monet etc which I enjoyed but for me it felt like a waste as there was so little to see. Check that it’s fully opened before going would be my suggestion at the moment!
