Experience the Sonoma wine region in a unique way – on the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley. Hop aboard this historical replica of a San Francisco cable car and grab a seat on a special wine tasting adventure you will never forget. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

What To Expect

Sonoma Valley

Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

We had a great time on the trolley tour. The wineries we visited were beautiful and very informative. Our lunch was delicious. Our tour guide Jill was very knowledgeable about Sonoma history and made the day enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.

We had the opportunity to go on the Wine Trolley with a couple of friends for my husband's birthday and it was a blast! We took the History Tour with Jill, our guide. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and tasted some great wines. We even joined a wine club at one of the wineries! I can't recommend it enough.

Our trip started with a welcoming greeting that put the tone for the day. Trolley Dolly Jill made us feel welcomed, comfortable & truly happy to be on her trolley. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the many aspects of the wine process and gave good commentary. We toured 4 very different wineries, which was very nice. Each site gave us a private tour and tasting. Our lunch that was catered by 'a girl & a fig' was very good. A variety of sandwiches, salads and great desserts. I was very impressed with Jill for being cool and cool when the road was blocked on the way to our last winery. She had to turn the trolley around and back track to the winery. She never once complained or seemed frazzled. Kudos to Jill for making our day in the valley so enjoyable!!
