Hop aboard this historical replica of a San Francisco cable car and grab a seat on a special wine tasting adventure you will never forget. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

What To Expect

Sonoma Valley

Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

We picked the Trolley bc, frankly, there are so many wineries how do you pick which ones to go to? Especially now, when you need reservations just to do a tasting and each charge 20-30/tasting! The Trolly took us to 3; B. R. Cohn, VJB and Mayo. Wines to taste were predetermined (mostly reds). We spent about an hour at each, except VJB bc this is where our predetermined lunch was). All were beautiful and stunning. Wines were okay; nothing extraordinary. But, it was very nice not needing to drive, we met and chatted with lots of wonderful people from all over the U.S. The trolley had a few mechanical issues but that added to the adventure. I would recommend unless you are the type of person that knows exactly what winery you want to visit. Just make sure you make reservations way ahead and drive carefully!!

We throughly enjoyed our fabulous Trolley Driver Lexi! She was both accommodating and very knowledgeable! We also loved her choice of music! We would highly recommend Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley due to Lexi! 3 ladies from New York, Mother and 2 daughters celebrating a daughter's 50th Birthday! The trolley is the way to go whether you have a group or a couple people wine tasting in Sonoma or Napa. Highly recommend booking the Trolley for your next event!
