Experience the Sonoma wine region in a unique way – on the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley. Hop aboard this historical replica of a San Francisco cable car and grab a seat on a special wine tasting adventure you will never forget. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

What To Expect

Sonoma Valley

Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

This was my first visit to Sonoma. Took my family members for wine tour. The trolley was well maintained and wine testing great at all four wineries. But what made it excellent was our driver/tour guide Christopher, he was fun, entertaining, courteous and fantastic host. He is very knowledgeable about Sonoma history, too. I highly recommend this tour!!! I I don't know if there is any other drive but if you are going, go on day Christopher is driving, The only reason I don't give 5 starts is that I had hard time getting email confirmation. I had to called back-n-forth multiple times just to get all tickets sent to me until a nice young lady took a second to take care of it all, plus they did give me a discount price so that turns out to be fine. I would definitely take this tour again. Thanks again, Christopher, you made this excellent tour even better!!!

Sonoma by trolly is a very special experience. First, you dont have to worry about drinking and driving. Chris, our trolley driver not only drives the trolley, but is energenic, fun, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR! Even for someone who has alot of experience wine tasting. And gourmet lunch is included!

We wanted to enjoy every minute of wine country and not have to worry about driving. This tour gave us the best of both. Christopher the driver was amazing. He is very knowledgeable about the area and very entertaining. We stopped at 4 amazing winery's and enjoyed a delicious lunch from Girl and the Fig. I initially questioned spending as much as we did on tickets but am so happy that we did. I would suggest this to anyone who is going to Sonoma and would do it again next time!
