Experience the Sonoma wine region in a unique way – on the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley. Hop aboard this historical replica of a San Francisco cable car and grab a seat on a special wine tasting adventure you will never forget. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

What To Expect

Sonoma Valley

Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

Paul, our tour guide was AWESOME. He was knowledgeable and made the trip so much fun. The mix of wineries was good. The lunch was delicious, especially the gelato and it was a fun experience.

As two couples who each own wineries, traveling to Sonoma together, we weren't sure if group tours were for us, but we had a blast. Our driver/host, Steve, was laid back and funny, and his personally curated tours of three smaller wineries gave us the personal experience we look for when we visit wineries. It felt like all our worries melted away as we bounced along the beautiful Sonoma County countryside in the open-air trolley, and we certainly did our share of filling up it's aisles with wine to bring home to North Dakota with us. Steve even set us up with a private visit with a winery friend of his for the next day, which was the perfect addition to our trip. (If you are in Sonoma County, be sure to check out Seamus Winery). We would totally do this again.
