Experience the Sonoma wine region in a unique way – on the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley. Hop aboard this historical replica of a San Francisco cable car and grab a seat on a special wine tasting adventure you will never forget. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

What To Expect

Sonoma Valley

Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

Jessica and Mia were great! In addition to the main facts, Jessica was full of lots of little interesting trivia. Highly recommend this tour! One suggestion: If you did not crane your neck and try not to blink, you missed Lombard Street - can you rearrange your route a bit to give a better look at this major tourist attraction? :

Dave, our driver and guide, was wonderful! The trolley was fun to ride! Loved the vineyards we visited! Some nice tours were provided at 2 of the 4 stops. I tasted many great wines and purchased several bottles. The lunch was delicious!

We went on the Castle tour + 2...Beringer & Farmstead. The castle was FANTASTIC! The tour was really cool and they poured a lot of wine during the tasting. Next, we drove to beringer to have our picnic lunch (delish! ) if you wanted to taste wine at Beringer, you could go to the tasting room or just wander the grounds which are gorgeous. The final stop was Farmstead. Upon exiting the trolley, we were guided to an area set up for a tasting. The only option was a flight of wines for $34. We opted out and left the tour. Overall this was a really really good tour... be prepared to drink quite a bit!
