Soul of Motown has been a Top 5 Rated show in the Smokies for over a decade, and the hits keep on spinning! From the moment the music starts to the triumphant roar of applause in our finale, the cast of Soul of Motown takes you on a journey to when music was more than a beat, it had a message and a mission. “Dine-In” service is available for this performance. Food & Beverage may be ordered for delivery to showroom table seating from the “Dine-In” menu. Food & Beverage is not included in your show ticket pricing.

I thought it was the Soul of Motown and the oldies but it was just oldies. Not happy at all. I drove also 300 mile and no soul music.

The performance you attended featured quite a number of songs under the Motown label performed by members of our Soul of Motown cast in addition to hits of the 50's and 60's.

Not the same performers I came to see in March of this year. When I recommended this show to my family and friends I talked of all the great mowtown songs that were performed... this time there were hardly any "soul of Mowtown " songs performed. Mostly songs from 50s and 60s. What happened to the other performers???

I was really looking forward to a black Motown performance. I received a phone call the morning of the show and told 2 members had taken ill and the time had changed from 5 o'clock to 8 o'clock. There waS 1 afr amer and the majority of the show was 50s 60s music.

Very sorry for your disappointment. You were given the option to keep your reservation or have it refunded. The basis of your review seems to center around the race of performers. While we were unable to provide the full cast and show of Soul of Motown due to Covid-19, we are currently able to still share the love of music and to honor the Motown history. Motown was built with a roster of many races, genders, religions and orientations and helped to bridge the gap in entertainment history. We are extremely proud to have been able to even take the stage and perform in light of the devastation and havoc that Covid-19 has made on the entertainment industry, and the world over. Although you may not have intended it to, your review gives other guests the impression that music not under the Motown label is less enjoyable, and it suggests that performers who are not Black/African American are "less than" as well. A review based on race, gender, religion or orientation rather than an open personal discussion with the business about your feelings is in itself an attack and is meant not to inform but to diminish and disrespect others.
