South Kaibab Trail
The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

I was unsure if we really needed a guide for a day hike in the Canyon. I am so grateful that we chose this company! They exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The people I spoke with on the phone while making my reservation were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions to help me pick the best experience for my daughter and myself. I can't say enough about our guide Michael. He did a great job of watching out for our safety during an extremely hot hike. The temperature was over 115 degrees. He made sure we were safe but that we got to experience all that we wanted to. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the Grand Canyon. He pointed out so many things that we would have missed if we weren't with him. He made a wonderful picnic lunch for us, carried all the safety equipment we could have needed and was just a pleasure to be with. He knew all of the rangers we passed and we could tell that he and Wildland Trekking were very respected.

This was an amazing hike for first timers! This was our first hike in the canyon and I could not recommend it more! Shayne was incredibly knowledgeable and unbelievably patient with us. He provided hiking poles snacks and the most delicious lunch! Shayne provided so many details and facts throughout the hike and was very kind and friendly! He provided a detailed email prior to our hike and left us excited and confident in the experience we were about to share. The hike was breathtaking, the canyon was so calm and so peaceful! Amazing experience, well worth it!!

Our guide Brian was very informative and helped us plan the right hike for our family before we arrived. He made sure we were well prepared in terms of what to bring. We felt safe throughout our hike, which was stunningly beautiful!
