Great spring break trip if you don't mind driving thru the Houston traffic. Also visited Galveston and played on the beach for a couple of hours..

Visiting the Space Center at the Johnson Space Center is an awesome experience. The facility is huge and extremely detailed. There are so many buildings and displays available which highlight American Space exploration. You definitely need to go check this place out. The main Mission Control in Bldg. #30 is truly on the front lines. There, the controllers are communicating directly with the Astronauts on the International Space Station. You can see it & hear it all in real time. Truly amazing.

As we were so excited to visit this space center, we were very disappointed at the way we were treated there. As a group of 6 foreigners and only me speaking English, I asked one of the staff members to be placed together in the tram during the astronaut training center tour so I could translate for the rest of the group. They said yes no problem and finally the tram was full and we were forced to be separated and my family (not speaking English) did not understand anything from what was said on the speaker. At the first stop, I went to the staff member again and said please can we change seats when we go back on the tram and he said “let me talk to my manager” but once we had to go back on the tram, we were yelled at to go back to our initial seats. Very disappointed.
