We visited the Houston Nasa Space Center on my boys spring break week. Being so close (just over 1 hour driving from the north of the city. I visited this place a couple of years ago and I was so surprised to see so many awesome and new things at hand. Let me give you a good tip. If you live on the Houston area or visit it often you may want to buy the membership; at the end you save a lot, since we went on spring break we went twice and we don’t have to pay admission. In addition you get discounts at the cafe and store. Also very close is located the Kemah boardwalk with nice restaurants and things to do for grown and little ones. Highly recommended !!!!

If you are a fan of Space or Rockets this is an incredible and legendary place to visit, even if you don't think you like Space, this is hugely interesting for everyone, young or old, a fan of space or not. When you leave here, if you weren't a fan before, you will certainly be after... Space Center Houston has an incredible amount of exhibits, artifacts like a moon-rock you can actually touch, the legendary Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier and of course the gigantic and mighty Saturn V rocket. We spent the best part of 6 hours here, but could easily spend another 6 hours. There is so much to see and do, we could have spent hours more exploring. Make sure to catch one of the shows or speeches by an astronaut as these are also incredibly interesting. The best part of the whole day, was the Rocket Park and Space Centre tram tour. The tram takes you around NASA Park to the various buildings and finally to the Saturn V rocket, which is simply mind blowing in size. Exploring the 747 Shuttle Carrier was also incredible, standing so close and able to touch such a huge aircraft was an amazing experience. There is an onsite gift shop and restaurant for food and refreshments. If you visit Houston - you MUST visit NASA!

If the government did anything right the Space Center is it. You can walk through the history of the program, enjoy fantastic displays with appropriate lighting, and watch a theater program that recounts the history of the program. And then there is the 747 with the shuttle mounted on top -- you can walk through both. Just don't miss this !!!!
