Kenai Fjords National Park

Your adventure in Kenai Fjords begins at the harbor in beautiful Seward, Alaska. Check in at our central office and enjoy the sights and sounds of the lively waterfront. When it’s time to board, head down the dock to your vessel, where you’ll be greeted by our team of deckhands. The journey begins as you sail out of the Seward harbor—watch for the resident bald eagle and seals! From here, different tours take different directions. As Resurrection Bay opens into the rugged Gulf of Alaska, our exploration into Kenai Fjords National Park deepens. No matter the tour you choose, you’ll have plenty of wildlife-watching opportunities, see stunningly craggy coastlines, meet our enthusiastic and knowledgeable team of deckhands, learn and discover along with our passionate captains and explore the majesty that is Kenai Fjords.

Thumb Cove State Marine Park

Thumb Cove is one of Resurrection Bay's most picturesque locations, featuring spectacular rock faces, waterfalls and views of cirque glaciers in the distance.

We saw eagles, Orca, whales, an otter and sea lions what a treat. Smooth ride on the ferry, our tour guide was very informative. Great way to spend the afternoon.

We had a nice trip on the Tanaina. It wasn't overly impressive, but still early enough in the season that the animals are a little hard to come by. The narration on the boat was hard to understand, and the food wasn't anything to write home about (I found a large piece of plastic in my lunch, and the chicken nuggets were about 5 different sizes ranging from dime-sized to average). It was cold and windy even though the sun was out, but we anticipated that, so make sure you bring layers, gloves, and a hat. Also, bring things to keep your kids entertained - the animals don't always cooperate, so you'll want to have something (playing cards, books, coloring pages, etc.) to keep them occupied during the slower moments. (also, bring your own snacks in case you wind up with plastic wrappers *in your food*)

An amazing day on the Glacier Explorer with a wonderful Captain Kenny and crew. Loved that a simple but yummy lunch was included! We saw SO much wildlife along with beautiful views. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
