Stories of Salem: Dark History and Murder Night Tour

Overview
When you hear people talk about Salem, often times the first thing that comes to mind is Witches, and Halloween, and ghosts and spooky fun, but there's so much more lurking in the shadows. Salem is nearly 400 years old and just like all of us, it has a dark side. An underbelly wrought with stories for the ages. Join us for our 90 min evening walking tour as we wander through the shadows and hear stories about pirates and pepper, secrets of the oldest cemetery in Salem, brutal murders, strange legal battles, curses, spiders, torture, and of course a ghost story or two. We invite you to be part of our story and learn why true history is Better Than Fiction. -All tour guides are licensed by the City of Salem and are professional storytellers .

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour! We came during peak season, so Salem was a little bit chaotic to begin with. I recommend the night tour, it seems to be less crowded then. Our guide, Caroline was super fun and extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed sharing some laughs. Note to patrons, please be prepared to tip your tour guide. There was a large group of us last night and myself and one other person were the only ones to tip. Understand that these guides make a living off of this and the courteous thing to do is tip. I would definitely book this tour again.

Such a fun and interesting tour! The tour guide was fun and entertaining and a great storyteller. Salem was very crowded and he did an excellent job of navigating the whole group and making sure we could all hear him.

Fun and interesting tour. When I booked it, I did not realize (although I should have) that Salem in October is high tourist season. Tons of people in town (and I mean tons). The group tour had more people than I anticipated, but Caroline did a good job ensuring everyone could hear. The tour was entertaining and Caroline was articulate and knowledgeable. It met all my expectations of witches, murder, and history.
