Salem is nearly 400 years old and just like all of us, it has a dark side. An underbelly wrought with stories for the ages. Join us for our 90 min evening walking tour as we wander through the shadows and hear stories about pirates and pepper, secrets of the oldest cemetery in Salem, brutal murders, strange legal battles, curses, spiders, torture, and of course a ghost story or two. We invite you to be part of our story and Uncover Salems dark past. -All tour guides are licensed by the City of Salem and are professional storytellers .

This was a fun tour. Our guide shared lots of stories behind many of the historic spots on the tour, not just names and dates that you'd find in a guide book. It was a great way to wrap up a visit to Salem.

We recently did the Better than Fiction “True Stories of a Strange Salem” tour, and it was awesome! I am usually not one to enjoy “guided tours” as I normally find them slow moving and boring, however BTF tours has changed my outlook! Jeff was equally as personable as he was knowledgeable. He kept us entertained and laughing the whole time. We are huge Salem enthusiasts and visit quite frequently, yet we still learned a ton about Salem on this tour. I 100% recommend this tour for anyone who thinks they are a Salem “know it all,” as it covers so much more than just the Witch Trials. Make sure you check them out when you come to Salem!
