What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

We offer Grand Teton and Yellowstone tours.Uncover the best wildlife hotspots of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National park with a knowledgeable and experienced guide at EcoTour Adventures. We will hit the back roads of Jackson Hole to escape the crowds and seek out our favorite hotspots for uninterrupted observation of seasonally available wildlife, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, bighorn sheep, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans.

We took the sunrise tour with Verlin. He is well connected with the other guides and they guided each other to great animal sighting. We saw all of the trophy animals including big horn sheep, antelope, moose (we got about 100 feet from a really large male and about 10 feet from 2 females...we were inside the van), coyote, elk (they are everywhere in the winter), bison, birds, etc. Verlin got us very close to the animals and set up a spotting scope (which really wasn't necessary given the distance). We had taken a tour into Yellowstone the day before and that guide said that Verlin's company, and Verlin himself, have a very positive reputation in the area.

We were so happy with our tour with Verlin. He is very knowledgeable about the wildlife, plus the history and character of the Jackson Hole Valley. He worked very hard to move us around the Park to find lots of animals. We saw: big horn sheep, antelope, moose (male and female), a coyote, elk (of course), bison (from a distance), and some great birds/ducks, including a golden eagle. Verlin spotted the animals and made it so easy for us to pop the hatch on the van to use the binoculars or get out and set up the spotting scope. He even helped us take pictures through the scope which I didn't even know my cell phone would do! This company is very ethical and takes good care of its customers as well as the environment. I highly recommend Ecotours and Verlin. I forgot to mention: he served us gourmet coffee and snacks out of the back of the van. They think of everything!!
