What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

We offer Grand Teton and Yellowstone tours.Uncover the best wildlife hotspots of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National park with a knowledgeable and experienced guide at EcoTour Adventures. We will hit the back roads of Jackson Hole to escape the crowds and seek out our favorite hotspots for uninterrupted observation of seasonally available wildlife, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, bighorn sheep, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans.

I have visited the Tetons several times before and really enjoyed this opportunity to look for wildlife without driving myself. While I had seen the species before, I had not seen them in the early AM when their behavior is a bit different, nor had I observed them through a spotting scope with a knowledgeable guide. Our guide had a great eye and answered every one of our questions thoroughly. The level of information and insight way surpassed any tour or ranger talk I have experienced. The van was very comfortable and the drinks/snacks were high quality. The morning had a nice pace -- not too fast. We stopped twice to use restrooms. I definitely would recommend this tour if you are interested in wildlife, whether you already know a fair amount or not. I would not recommend this tour if you don't like driving around or have little patience. I am not an early AM person, but I enjoyed being out in the early AM and the near absence of traffic for a couple of hours. I am sure the sunset tour is nice, too, but there would be more people out. I would do this tour again - but I would not bring along friends/family who don't already enjoy observing wildlife, whether it's a ground squirrel or a bear.

Our tour with Mike exceeded expectations. The various guides work together extremely well so as to communicate where the wildlife can be found. We encountered a large herd of bison, a bull moose, a mother moose and baby crossing a stream, elk, marmot, osprey, pronghorn and various other wildlife. Mike really took care of us. My wife and I give this tour our highest recommendation!
