Take a small-group guided dolphin kayak tour along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay at sunset to combine gorgeous visuals with epic dolphin experiences. Little or no experience is necessary to use our sturdy sit-on-top kayaks to explore the coastal waters of Virginia Beach and get closer to wild dolphins than you have ever been before. Guides will help you launch and navigate along the coast for 2-hrs while you relax and enjoy a magnificent view of the sun setting over the Bay.

What To Expect

First Landing State Park

Meet your guides on the beach at the Main Entrance to First Landing State Park ready for one of Virginia Beach's most unique experiences. After a short briefing on safety and kayak operation, your guides will help launch you and your kayak into the Chesapeake Bay where you will enjoy the thrill of kayaking with Atlantic Bottle nose Dolphins off the Shoreline of Virginia Beach while also witnessing a magnificent sunset.

Cape Henry Lighthouse

Since 1996, We have been offering guided kayak dolphin watching trips to see these amazing creatures during their summer migration off the coast of Virginia. The Sunset Tour combines dolphin watching with a sightseeing tour of landmarks such as The Cape Henry Lighthouses and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. On our Sunset Dolphin Kayak Tour you will likely see dolphins and numerous birds as we paddle along historic Cape Henry in Virginia Beach. Along the way you will also see local landmarks such as the Cape Henry Lighthouses and Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel get lit up by the evening sun as it sinks beyond the horizon of the Bay.

We were running late they were considerate and even had a guide wait for us. Every person we had talked to was so kind. Brenden our guide was amazing! Unfortunately we didn’t see dolphins but I would recommend.

I wish I could give these guys 20 stars. They were phenomenal from the time I called to ask about the tours to the minute we arrived back on shore. The owner, Matt, was very quick to communicate when we went to the wrong place (my fault for not listening entirely) and the guides waited for us to arrive before leaving. The kayaks were very sturdy and even the inexperienced kayaker in our group (that can’t swim) felt safe and had a great time. We saw dozens of dolphins and one even came within a few feet of one of our kayaks! The guides even took pictures of our group and sent them to us. They are very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the history of the area. Worth every penny and I cannot give enough praise to the owner and the guides for giving my family such a fantastic opportunity.

This Sunday your was totally magical! The way you get to experience dolphins was just amazing! Ryan, Michael, and Ryder-Thank you for giving us clear instructions, keeping the group together and sharing your wealth of knowledge! These boys were awesome! They took pictures of us but also gave each group their space. We would definitely do this again!
