Overview

We get views of the wildlife of the salt marsh that people almost never have an opportunity to see. We sail daily from April until October so we always know where we are likely to see the most interesting birds and with 25 years of experience running these tours we know where we are likely to have the best trip. Our route varies daily depending on conditions.

Very knowledgeable captain and naturalist shared lots of information about the large variety of shore birds we saw. Tour included binoculars.

We had so much fun on the morning safari tour on the 9th, that we went back for the Sunset Safari on the 10th. We were so thrilled at the numbers of birds and variety of species! Erica and Bob were so knowledgeable, and when we told them which birds would be life-birds for us, they went out of their way to point them out, explain the field markings, and make sure we had excellent views of each one. In addition to the life birds from the day before, on this day we added Clapper Rail, Tricolored Heron, and Boat-tailed Grackle to our life list! We highly recommend Birding by Boat on the Osprey! We're definitely going to make this a part of every Cape May vacation.

Captain Bob and his first mate know their birds and where to find them. Very enjoyable sunset cruise. No fear of seasickness. Easy to move around the boat in the enclosed area or out on the open front deck. Sit or stand; it’s up to you. Everyone gets a clear view.
