Sunset Sail from Traverse City with Food, Wine & Cocktails

Overview

Wind down and relax as our captain and first mate teach you about our elegant schooner and share stories about the history of the lands, people and waters of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Enjoy complimentary locally sourced gourmet food, wine, and cocktails while watching the sunset paint the sky. This is a 2.5-hour sail.

Check-in at our kiosk 30 min before departure. The 2nd Mate will do a brief welcome about 10 min before departure and then will guide all passengers to board Wind Dancer. We have a variety of beverage options including wine, cocktails, local spirits, soda and water. Food is served around 1 hour into the sail. We respectfully request that guests not bring additional alcoholic beverages. Free parking is available at the check-in kiosk, which is located at The Delamar Resort, 615 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI. Please bring rain gear, a beach towel, and appropriate non-skid footwear for boating. Tours will be rescheduled if necessary due to inclement weather.

We had a lovely evening sail. The captain and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was perfect, clear with a strong consistent wind. My son had an opportunity to steer the ship ( man the ahelm) which he took to swimmingly :) Captain Dan explained "weather helm" to him as adjusted the mainsail. I could see my son's face light up as he intellectually, intuitively and physically experienced the ships dynamic balance. A strong wind can really cool you down so be sure to bring a windbreaker.

Crew was great very knowledgeable and the food was so fresh it didn’t even taste real. Everybody was super nice and welcoming and it was a perfect night to sail.
