Sunset Sail from Traverse City with Food, Wine & Cocktails

Overview

Wind down and relax as our captain and first mate teach you about our elegant schooner and share stories about the history of the lands, people and waters of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Enjoy complimentary locally sourced gourmet food, wine, and cocktails while watching the sunset paint the sky. This is a 2.5-hour sail.

Check-in at our kiosk 30 min before departure. The 2nd Mate will do a brief welcome about 10 min before departure and then will guide all passengers to board Wind Dancer. We have a variety of beverage options including wine, cocktails, local spirits, soda and water. Food is served around 1 hour into the sail. We respectfully request that guests not bring additional alcoholic beverages. Free parking is available at the check-in kiosk, which is located at The Delamar Resort, 615 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI. Please bring rain gear, a beach towel, and appropriate non-skid footwear for boating. Tours will be rescheduled if necessary due to inclement weather.

The entire crew were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and were very relaxed. The boat was beautiful and I would definitely recommend this activity.

We had an amazing Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Wind Dancer sailboat last night! Captain Dan, Michelle and Audrey provided a very relaxing and comfortable sail on a perfect sailing day. The food and beverages we were served are all locally sourced and locally grown and were absolutely delicious. This sail is a must do for all those visiting or local to our area. Captain Dan is very knowledgeable and provided a wonderful history of the area and very informative of sailing terms!

An exquisite sunset while sailing on a beautiful boat with an extremely competent, knowledgeable and friendly crew . . . what could be better? Captain Dan, Mates Michelle and Mark provided a truly lovely experience on the water. We were schooled in all things sailboat (very interesting!), invited to help raise the sails, steer the boat and learned some fascinating history of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Food and drinks were fabulous! Michelle's descriptions of each "course" sounded like we were seated in a five-star restaurant! (Kudos to Michelle, she does it all: sails, recites the impressive menu, serves the food and beverages and visits with guests in between!) Loved that everything is sourced locally; delicious snacks, food and beverages. Especially liked the spirits from Mammoth Distilling. We saw some 'party barges' while sailing the bay and are SO glad we chose this experience. There is nothing like the sound of the water against the boat, views of the bay and sky on a lovely summer evening. Simply sublime.
