What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Scenic Stop 1- West & East Mitten View Scenic Stop 2- John Ford's Point & Three Sister's Monument Scenic Stop 3- Navajo Hogan Visit & Navajo rug weaving demonstration. Scenic Stop 4- Moccasin Arch, Big Hogan Arch & Live Performance Scenic Stop 5- Sun's Eye & Anasazi Petroglyphs/Ruins Scenic Stop 6- Totem Pole Monument Scenic Stop 7- North Window or Artist's Point Their will be a minimum of 5-10 minutes at each scenic stop to explore and take photos.

Oh my - the scenery, the skies, the history, the pure brilliance of the area, how can you sum this up in a few words - I can't. You will HAVE to go visit yourselves. If you do, choose Monument Valley Tribal Tours - they are so wonderful. They happily changed my tour after I made a mistake in booking (thank you SOOOO MUCH!). Then they gave me a beautiful tour, led by Sandrea whose humour and knowledge made every single moment a delight. The tour itself winds its way through the most visible landmarks as well as a few on the extended tracks that are not seen if you self drive. The sunset didnt do its best work on the tour day, but I didnt care as I got to hear Sandrea sing and spend longer in the valley watching as the light changed on the rock faces. Stunning in every way. Sigh :)

The trip was all I had hoped it would be when I decided to come visit Monument Valley. Our Navaho guide, Larry Team, brought a perspective into the history of this amazing place that could not be obtained from a guide book. Great trip and experience.
