What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Scenic Stop 1- West & East Mitten View Scenic Stop 2- John Ford's Point & Three Sister's Monument Scenic Stop 3- Navajo Hogan Visit & Navajo rug weaving demonstration. Scenic Stop 4- Moccasin Arch, Big Hogan Arch & Live Performance Scenic Stop 5- Sun's Eye & Anasazi Petroglyphs/Ruins Scenic Stop 6- Totem Pole Monument Scenic Stop 7- North Window or Artist's Point Their will be a minimum of 5-10 minutes at each scenic stop to explore and take photos.

We were 2 couples in our mid 60’s. Vera was our Navajo guide. She was fantastic. She tools to many unique places and also did a beautiful Navajo chant. It had rained during the day and was quite cloudy but we still got to see a nice sunset. Highly recommend this tour especially with Vera.

We took the Sunset Tour on Sept 26th, 2022. Tour was on time, unhurried and informative. The tour covered the public access area and back country area too. The Guide was really excellent. The tour returned to the Mittens turnout just in time to photograph the Mittens in the setting sun. The lighting from the setting sun is best seen at the Mittens. The road is bumpy especially in the back country but the vehicle was sprung to smooth any jolts --- so it was a reasonably comfortable ride although swaying when the road was particularly rutted. Thoroughly recommend.
