Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Scenic Stop 1- West & East Mitten View Scenic Stop 2- John Ford's Point & Three Sister's Monument Scenic Stop 3- Navajo Hogan Visit & Navajo rug weaving demonstration. Scenic Stop 4- Moccasin Arch, Big Hogan Arch & Live Performance Scenic Stop 5- Sun's Eye & Anasazi Petroglyphs/Ruins Scenic Stop 6- Totem Pole Monument Scenic Stop 7- North Window or Artist's Point Their will be a minimum of 5-10 minutes at each scenic stop to explore and take photos.

We made the sunset tour and it was awesome! The Monument Valley hit us with its stunning view and landscape, and a big thank you to our guide Larry: he has been great driving us across the Valley and explaining us all the details and the info of its history. Absolutely recommended!

The landscape is stunning. The vehicle driven was adequate for traversing the back country but provided little protection from the wind while driving on the 7 miles of highway to reach the valley from the RV park. Take a jacket! I would recommend driving to the hotel overlooking the valley in your own car especially for the evening tour. Hard to hear driver/guide. Other tour companies vehicles had a sound system.

We were booked for the backcountry tour earlier in the day and were rained out and rebooked later in the day, We ended up on the sunset tour which was fabulous. We had a little rain but waited it out in a Hogan learning about the Navajo culture with a rug weaving demonstration. Our guide Vera was very informative, she made the tour interesting and fun. She said a beautiful chant at an arch and when we got back on the truck we also say a rainbow and at sunset saw the monuments glow from as the sun was going down. Was very impressive and had a spiritly feeling. Highly recommend this tour.
