We live, eat, and dream surfing and teach surfing because we want to share our love and stoke for the sport. This is a life choice for us and what gives our lives meaning.

All of Kapowui's instructors are imbued with the Aloha spirit, live within blocks of the beach (4 of them live in surf vans), surf every day and have many years teaching experience.

I have always wanted to learn to surf but have been pretty anxious and afraid of it. My husband and I finally bit the bullet and scheduled a 2 hr lesson and had the best experience! Our instructor was super patient, gave great detailed lessons on the beach, and got each of us up and catching several waves! The whole team was extremely generous, knowledgeable and fun. Don't think twice and book your lessons! You won't regret it.

My 3 daughters and I had our very first surf lesson yesterday with Ryan. We chose Kapowui based on others reviews and am I ever glad I did! We all got up on our boards within the hour. Ryan is an excellent coach and his thorough land demonstration and in water cues made our time in the water a huge success! We are all hooked now. Can’t wait to return!
