Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

My 17 and 19 y.o daughters tried surfing for the first time here and had a great experience. The instructors were personable, friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall set-up was top-notch. I would recommend HHSurf for anyone looking for a beginner or refresher lesson!

Our instructor Lance was fantastic. My daughter and I surfed each wave thanks to great instruction and set up by Lance. We highly recommend Hans Hedemann surf school. We also had a wonderful afternoon on SUP on Kawela Bay thanks to this service.

I've gone surfing before but I could never successfully catch a wave for longer than a few moments. In the group surf, the instructor Kapua was amazing! He gave me great pointers on how I should improve and I even managed to stand on a board for a lot longer than I've ever done before. I highly recommend this surfing school above all others. It was reasonably priced and has great people who are all about ensuring you've had a great time. For sure ask for Kapua and you won't be dissatisfied!
