Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

had a fantastic time. group lesson. fantastic teacher seth who made everything very clear. swam out with my board and the tutors help you wait for the wave and some how push you to give you more speed into the wave. i thought i would be terrible at this but with their pointers got up and caught a wave first time . the face that they have a photographer and you get a cd of images of you surfing is a total bonus i wasn't expecting. it was also really reasonably priced compared to all the others i had seen advertised. couldn't recommend highly enough. def go with these guys.

My family and I booked a 2-hour surfing lesson as part of our Hawaiian trip and the surfing was brilliant. The shop was well-organised, we were given an excellent safety briefing and they were more than helpful with whatever we needed. We were given time on the beach to master how to get up on the surf board and the instructors made sure we were all perfectly sure of ourselves and of how to use the board properly before they let us into the water. When in the water, it was a bit nerve-wracking, but the instructors were always close by and even helped us all out and tried their hardest to make sure we attempted to surf the waves. I myself ended up having to leave the water as I fell off the surf board, it hit me in the head and face and I got a really bad nose bleed, but one of the instructors helped me get back to shore safely and he didn't leave my side until I looked okay and he even kindly informed the lifeguard what had happened and they were really nice. They were overall a very friendly bunch and even after it was over, we got lovely conversation with one of the instructors who has Irish roots and he seemed very intrigued about us being from Scotland. Highly recommended and definitely get more than your money's worth!

Awesome few hours spent with excellent staff who really care about their guests. Nothing was too much trouble and the instructors really know their stuff. Highlight of our visit to Hawaii so far. I was with my 2 kids aged 20 and 21 and it was worth the trip from Scotland. Can't recommend Hans Hedemann highly enough. You won't go wrong booking this surf school. Even more epic you get a free CD of pics. Wish I could do it all again. Thank you so much guys!
