The Explorida Adventure Center offers a large, top notch facility that is climate controlled with indoor changing rooms for your privacy. Our boats are U.S. Coast Guard inspected and certified, which means they are allowed to carry more than 6 passengers, have all necessary safety equipment, and are in tip top shape. Maybe I put too much trust into TripAdvisor reviews, I was expecting to just have an amazing time and come back with some precious photos of my family and this once in a lifetime experience. It really was just “meh”, the guide was nice, but not too knowledgeable, the boat driver was bored and mostly sat and played on his phone. And we didn’t get any photos with the manatees. Almost all of the photos are just of manatees in murky water. I poured through all these reviews and was expecting some cute shots of my family. Sadly, since I thought the guide was doing this, I have only a couple pics that I took from the whole trip. The visibility was poor, but they weren’t concerned with trying to find a better place. During the manatee peak season I expected to see more than 3 manatees during the entire tour. We were pretty cold, and only had a beach towel for each of us, that we brought, so we ended up being kind of miserable on the boat. I attached a pic of someone from our tour with a manatee, just about the best one, have no idea who the people are tho, maybe us?

Best Swim with the Manatees tour I have taken! Friendly, professional, well-organized and knowledgeable crew (Kerry and Alex) made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. A stop at the spring was especially memorable. Great job all round and highly recommended. Can’t wait to come back with the grandkids!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Explorida! It began with the woman who greeted us and gave us our wetsuits, she made us feel welcome from the start and is superb with her customer service. We toured with Captain Alex and guide Maddie, they were excellent! They found manatees right away for us to swim with and now have so many wonderful pictures thanks to Maddie. They were very professional, super friendly and knowledgeable about the Crystal River area, manatees and the conservation and preservation of the area. We learned so much from them, and you could see their passion for the area and manatees, as we cruised the river after our swim. This place and people are excellent and made this experience even more wonderful than I thought it could be! I know there are many manatee swim companies in the area, but this is the one to go with.
