Seating goes according to weight and balance. Weight maximum is 250 pounds per person. Passengers are weighed at our facility and passengers weighing over the weight limit are required to purchase an additional seat or will forfeit their flight.
Helicopter seats 6 passengers and 1 pilot. All tours are shared with other passengers. All 6 seats must be purchased for a private tour. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative time or date.
Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date.
Passengers must arrive 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight time with Identification It is strongly advised to arrive prior to check in time to avoid being charged late fee *** ***LATE FEE PRICES*** Passengers failing to arrive 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $50.00 per person late fee. Passengers arriving 30 minutes or less prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $100.00 per person late fee.
New York Helicopter has the right to cancel, change or delay any flight any time for any reason, which includes weather conditions, Temporary Flight Restrictions implemented by the FAA, minimum number of passengers not met for tour, helicopter maintenance and all other circumstances outside of our control.
$35.00 heliport fee per person (must be paid on site on travel date)
$35.00 heliport fee for children under the age of 2 (must be paid on site on travel date)

The service was excellent and the ride was amazing and very memorable. The view was breathtaking and the pilot was very nice and easygoing. The lateness rules are very strict though. I did not realize that “Dry Dock Bistro” was a food joint and I was looking for another sign with it so it took me much longer to get there and then I had to pay a $100 fee per person:( I’m still very happy with the experience though!

I would highly recommend this company if you are considering a helicopter flight over New York. The flight duration was perfect and we got some amazing photos and videos over the city. The staff couldn’t have been nicer to us. We had a bit of a nightmare when we arrived as you are supposed to take ID with you and we took our drivers licences but my wife believed she had been pick pocketed and we arrived without any ID. My wife was in tears as she believed we wouldn’t be able to fly but luckily we had photographs of both IDs on our phone and they were able to air drop them to their computers. The lady who dealt with us couldn’t have been nicer, she comforted my wife and made us feel at ease. I would say though that luckily we weren’t pick pocketed, they were in the hotel room 🤦‍♂️. One thing I would say is we walked from Paulas Hook ferry terminal as it was only just over 4 miles away and we like to walk but after walking 3 miles we were advised by a local to stop walking and get an Uber as it could be unsafe for tourists to walk through the area (I believe her to be an angel) so we got an Uber, so please make sure you get the proper transportation to the event. When all said and done we thoroughly enjoyed the flight and I believe the price to be a really good price for the flight. I would highly recommend this company and would steer clear of more expensive flights who might not be as good as this one. The helicopter was also clean and in very good order.
