This was a great find. My mother and I took a five day trip to NYC for my birthday, and it was great to take a tour of the Lower East Side with Laura. It wasn't terribly cold or too warm, and it was a beautiful day to learn more about different cultures. I am Chinese and Jewish, and it seemed like fate to go on this tour. We also learned about Puerto Rican, German, and Buddhist history and culture.
I will say that you should know that the price of the ticket does not include any food samples. We got cash because a few of the stops didn't accept credit cards, but nothing was too pricey. Laura was knowledgeable and charismatic. I felt a kinship with her as we were excited to see dogs on the street and bonding over our love of German chocolate (be sure to stop by Economy Candy!). It was a great activity for our last full day in the city.

Everything you could want in a tour. Our tour guide, Joel, was terrific.
He providing a fascinating history of quite a number of buildings and the stories of the individuals associated with them over the years. Even the places we stopped to snack had fun histories and we had the the best Bialys too. We have been New Yorkers for over 20 years and learned so much during our afternoon excursion. We will definitely take another tour with Joel and Top Dog Tours. Thank you.
