This classic via ferrata route is a high-alpine traverse that precariously travels rock faces up to 600 feet above the valley floor below, exhilaratingly exposed in sections that would be impassable without the steel cables and holds along the way. The Telluride Via Ferrata provides unmatched views of Bridal Veil Falls (the highest free-falling waterfall in Colorado), the town of Telluride, and the surrounding peaks of the San Juan Mountains.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Not recommended for children younger than 10 years old or shorter than 5'0".
Not recommended for those with a severe fear of heights.
Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness, and be capable of hiking an uneven, rocky trail at above 10,000'.

Our group of 4 women did the Telluride via ferrata. Jesse was our guide. He was fantastic, personable, communicative, knowledgeable and made us feel safe the entire time. Jesse explained the route in detail, properly prepared us for the trip, and took photos for us. I communicated with Mountain Trip prior to the trip and they answered all our questions and were easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend Mountain Trip for your adventure and will be using them in the future!

This is a fantastic way to experience a different view of Telluride, get close to the mining history & have that small adrenaline rush of hanging out on the side of a basin wall. Highly recommend doing this with Mountain Trip who are the friendliest of experts.

The guides were friendly and totally put us at ease. I thought I’d have jelly legs for sure but felt beyond secure with the harnesses and was carefree. So so cool! Taking the kids next time.
