Overview

Eco Endeavors can accommodate up to 12 guests on an Adventure based Eco-Tour through The Ten Thousand Islands of south Florida on our custom built, United States Coast Guard Inspected vessel. Throughout the duration of this 3 hour trip, guests will have the opportunity to see abundant wildlife up close such as dolphin, manatee and several species of birds. We will also stop at an isolated barrier island only accessible by boat to search for rare shells, swim or snorkel. We also offer Private tours for small or large groups directly on our website at EcoEndeavors.org.

Due to Hurricane Ian the precautionary advisory issued by DOH officials we have made some temporary changes to the tour: We will pull the boat directly onto the beach so you will not have to enter the water. Being able to successfully navigate 3 steps is required to enter and exit the boat. We DO NOT recommend swimming while on the barrier islands at this time. We DO recommend wearing beach shoes while on the barrier islands. Although not required, we are taking these precautions as safety is always our priority.

It was a very windy morning and the waves were high but we had 2 expert captains (Paul and Chris). Out tour included a ride out to Cape Romano to see the dome house, then to the shelling island and finally we drove through the channels and got a good look at some burrowing owls and nice homes.

Our trip was ok. We did see a lot of dolphin, but in general it was a typical tour. Captain Chris took us to a barrier island that most boat companies take their clients (2 other boat tours showed up while we were there). Then ended our trip a half hour early. Just anticipated more especially from the great reviews.

Our guide was Captain Paul. We saw Dolphins, osprey, egrets, frigate birds. The stop on the beach for shelling was nice. Very enjoyable.
