Eco Endeavors can accommodate up to 12 guests on an Adventure based Eco-Tour through The Ten Thousand Islands of south Florida on our custom built, United States Coast Guard Inspected vessel. Throughout the duration of this 3 hour trip, guests will have the opportunity to see abundant wildlife up close such as dolphin, manatee and several species of birds. We will also stop at an isolated barrier island only accessible by boat to search for rare shells, swim or snorkel. We also offer Private tours for small or large groups directly on our website at EcoEndeavors.org.

Due to Hurricane Ian the precautionary advisory issued by DOH officials we have made some temporary changes to the tour: We will pull the boat directly onto the beach so you will not have to enter the water. Being able to successfully navigate 3 steps is required to enter and exit the boat. We DO NOT recommend swimming while on the barrier islands at this time. We DO recommend wearing beach shoes while on the barrier islands. Although not required, we are taking these precautions as safety is always our priority.

Nice boat ride. Friendly crew. It was fun seeing the dome houses. We saw some birds and a dolphin. It followed another boat and wouldn’t come to our wake, but we could see it. Unfortunately, we did not see manatees or turtles. I wished the ride back allowed for more time to look for additional animals.

The tour that was suppose to take place on Aug 23 was cancelled by Eco Endeavours the day previous an with no explanation (I received an e-mail through Tripadvisor). I tried to reach them by telephone to re schedule but nobody answer the phone either the message I left in the answering machine. I expect the reimbursement of the payment. I lost my opportunity to do the tour with another company, because of the short notice.

We attempted to reach you with the information you provided to reschedule you but were unsuccessful. You also booked with a 3rd party and not directly with us which is why you had a difficult time reaching anyone. Fun trip, nice break from the beach. We were lucky and ran into a bunch of porpoises and the Capt got them to follow us in a wash. A definite highlight. Chrissy, the first mate had a lot of knowledge about birds we saw, the porpoises, and shells of many varieties on the beach we stopped at for 45 minutes. The boat would have been more comfortable if the seats were in rows across the boat as opposed to around the outside perimeter, thus the loss of one rating point. We essentially made 3.5 stops in 2.5 hrs.
