My husband and I went on the Jack Daniel's and George Dickel tour with Mint Julep Experiences. Our tour guide was Eric and he did an excellent job. He was very informative and made sure we had a great time. Everything on the tour ran like clockwork. I never felt like we were being rushed or felt like we did not have time at each distillery. The bus was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend Mint Julep tours and we are already talking about going to Kentucky next year and have started looking at the tours they offer.

I had a new appreciation of GD after visiting it and JD. The first tour stops at GD which handcrafts all its liquor. The tasting is in a small room and personable with decent samplings. The gift store is really good at GD also with plenty of selection of goods without going overboard (like having light switch covers). We had lunch at a town along the way with a menu that you were able to choose from but paid by the tour company (Mint Julep). JD was next. This place was as commercialized as possible. It was nice to see but the samplings were tiny and they were out of Sinatra until the end of June. They had plastic clear solo cups to sample from. GD had real glasses. The gift shop on premises only sells JD liquor. You have to go into Lynchburg to see the all actual merchandise at the store there. We then stopped at Jack Daniels grave to have a shot and went on to view Nearest Greene's grave. It was a great tour.

Decided to take my husband on a tour since he loves whisky (NO E) for his birthday and we both loved it! I have to admit I was a little nervous because at the time there were no reviews on the site and wanted something for the whole day, I'm glad I took the risk! Our guides were super knowledgeable and fun. The bus was comfortable and clean, they also provided water for anyone who got thirsty on the trip as well as lunch (you get to pick from a menu), everything was done in a nice organized and timely manner. We would def do a tour with them again!
