The American Prohibition Museum Admission Ticket

Overview
The American Prohibition Museum, located in Savannah's City Market, is the first and only museum in the United States dedicated to the history of Prohibition. While here, guests will travel back in time to the early 1900s, as anti-alcohol rallies swept the nation and the “booze problem” was pushed to the forefront of American politics. The true story of America’s struggle with the liquor question, the passing of the 18th Amendment, its impact on the nation, and the far-reaching consequences of the 13 years of Prohibition all come to life within the walls of the American Prohibition Museum.

We bought tickets to the museum with our trolley tickets. It was an interesting museum. I learned a few things that I didn't know before. There is a Speakeasy 3/4 of the way through. We prebought a few drinks and they were good. There is a movie in one of the last rooms where you can sit and enjoy your drink while you watch the movie. I believe you can come to the Speakeasy any time without a ticket to the museum. There is a large gift shop as well.

This place is really cool and of a very particular interest to us as we own a craft distillery. It is full of information, history, and anecdotes. We stop in here every time we’re in Savannah and notice something different each time. There’s lots of staff posted at different areas who will give you in-depth information on what you’re looking at. The bar at the end of the tour is the absolute best with a speak easy type feel. Definitely put this as one of your must dos while in the area!

Great experience. The Museam has a great flow and includes a very good mix of photos, artifacts, texts, videos and re-enactments, all of which make for an engaging experience. We also very much enjoyed interacting with the staff who were all very knowledgeable and helpful.
