The American Prohibition Museum Admission Ticket

Overview
The American Prohibition Museum, located in Savannah's City Market, is the first and only museum in the United States dedicated to the history of Prohibition. While here, self-guided guests will travel back in time to the early 1900s, as anti-alcohol rallies swept the nation and the “booze problem” was pushed to the forefront of American politics. The true story of America’s struggle with the liquor question, the passing of the 18th Amendment, its impact on the nation, and the far-reaching consequences of the 13 years of Prohibition all come to life within the walls of the American Prohibition Museum.

Upgrade to the Guided Tour Option or the Guided Tour & Cocktail Experience option. Each will give you a fully guided 45-minute tour. The Guided Tour option also includes a period-accurate cocktail or mocktail. We loved the museum, the tour, and the cocktail making lesson. Unfortunately, it was so crowded with folks taking the self guided tour, that it was difficult to see the exhibits and to move on several occasions. It would be nice if they limited the number of people allowed inside at one time. I learned a lot but feel like I missed a lot due to overcrowding.

This was a great experience. I learned so much not only about Prohibition but about many things that are a part of our culture today that have their roots in the Prohibition Era. Things such as tipping in restaurants, income tax, NASCAR and the list goes on. I don't drink so the Speakeasy experience was optional, which I did not take. I enjoyed the self-guided tour instead and was so glad that I stumbled upon this place
