This was a wonderful tour. I cannot recommend seeing Brooklyn with Bruce too highly. He made the area fascinating, his history knowledge is superb and he really makes the entire area come alive. He’s also very tolerant; he let me stop for a lobster roll! Will also show you the best chocolate shop in Brooklyn.. Find out about the amazing Emily Rowbling , a real role model for our times.

If you're considering taking a guided walking tour in NYC, definitely take any or all of Bruce's tours. You will not be disappointed! When I took his Secret Places of Central Park tour, it was clear that he has a thorough knowledge of, and passion for the city's history. After that experience, I decided to take his Best of Brooklyn and Hamilton & Washington tours right away, and of course, I enjoyed them equally as well. The Best of Brooklyn tour was so informative and interesting! Yes, anyone could walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and through DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights (I have many times!), but to have such a thorough guided tour brings more importance to landmarks you might otherwise miss, and makes the area much more intriguing! Bruce is a talented storyteller who absolutely brings those historical figures that you've seen in paintings to life and gives a sense of animation to historical landmarks that would otherwise seem dormant. The pace of these tours is easy and he makes sure that members in the group are comfortable. Time will fly by quickly as you take an engaging and entertaining trip into the past while on these tours. I highly recommend them all! -Jennifer R.

Thank you VERY much for your reviews and recommendations of the Brooklyn, Central Park, and Hamilton & Washington tours and for pointing out the value and "sense of animation" that the tours bring to the experience. Thanks again, Bruce

I have taken The Brooklyn Revolution! tour with Bruce Racond on 10/30/2021. The route and the stops were well-planned and gave us beautiful views, architectural details, not to mention delicious hot chocolate, leading to multiple exciting moments of intellectual rediscovery around each corner of the usual we thought we knew. On the tour,Bruce brought to life such iconic places, like the Tweed Building, the Brooklyn Bridge and many more by immersing us in the historic events back then and lives of important public figures of the day. I highly recommend Revolutionary Tours. You will see multiple new layers of history even in the places that you thought you knew. Bruce’s enthusiasm and about history and New York City itself is contagious. His preparedness, depth of knowledge and attention to detail are rare and are rather impressive, just like the binder with documents, maps, charts and photos which he carries around to illustrate his talk (weighs at least 6 pounds:)),as well as the hand outs detailing the route and the highlights of the tour, not to mention a possible follow up email complementing something that had been discussed on the tour…He thinks of everything! People skills paired with a passion of a historian and professional expertise are a winning combination! 5 out of 5! Tatiana H
