The best of Williamsburg walking tour

Overview
A live interpretation of American history. The Capitol. The other one, actually. A political foundation that gave Williamsburg its place in the Historic Triangle. Now grab a map and dive into Colonial Street. A living history museum. An homage to Colonial times. Heard of Thomas Jefferson? He lived in the Governor’s Palace. Visit the place that once served as a hospital for wounded soldiers. “The Most Historic Avenue of America”. That’s what FDR called Duke of Gloucester Street. Let our guide tell you the tales that roam this 99 ft street. And to finish off the tour: Eavesdrop on a short lecture at the College of William & Mary. Maybe, you’ll pick up something educational!

We thought, "are you kidding, is this a joke?" This was an absolute waste of time and a lot of money

We are sorry to hear that the tour doesn't satisfy your expectation. We emailed you and try to call to ask why you feel that about our program. We couldn't reach you, our team and the guide would like to know your opinion so we could change something.

This tour was incredible. John was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Williamsburg. His stories and insights made the history come alive for us so that when we went back to go inside key places later, we had a much deeper appreciation for what we were seeing. I would suggested John’s tour to anyone looking to get deeper insights and appreciation for the history of this community. However, if you can find a way to find John Sutton of Williamsburg Private Tours outside of TA, I would. They were not timely in paying him and up charge over $300 for what he normally charges for the tour. So wonderful experience with John; not a good experience with the transaction process through TA.
