The Lion King
The Lion King musical tells the Hamlet-like tale of Simba, prince of African lions, who battles his evil Uncle Scar for the throne. But before Simba can take his rightful place in the "Circle of Life", he grows up with his two fun-loving friends, wisecracking meerkat Timon and smelly warthog Pumbaa. Together they teach Simba their philosophy of life, "Hakuna Matata" (No Worries). Based on the 1994 Disney film, and book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, the musical includes the Oscar-winning song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Additional songs are by Hans Zimmer, Lebo M, Mark Mancina and Jay Rifkin. This visual feast is famous for director Julie Taymor's complex animal-puppet-human fusion, and is loved by audiences of all ages.

The legitimacy of the tickets for the show that I had purchased thru Tripadvisor were questioned by security and management at the theater after we had already been seated. We were not being informed of the issue when we asked if there was a problem, which upset us since we were being treated as if we had been using fake tickets. Management finally notified us Tripadvsor had sold us tickets that were already sold to another party. Our family flew across the country to see this Broadway show. Our family was very frustrated, humiliated and felt degraded for tripadvisor's mistake. Would not recommend buying tickets through tripadvisor because they cannot always be trusted.

This was a Breathtaking experience! Loved every moment and the seats were exceptional and on my birthday. My 18 yo old football playing son attended with me and cheered and clapped the whole way thru. He's hooked now and wants to return for MJ on Broadway. True pleasure!

This is a beautiful musical to witness live on stage. The music, the costumes and makeup, the puppetry. It’s all so beautiful. It’s a great show that will please the biggest theater fans as well as the non-theater fans.
