The Lion King
The Lion King musical tells the Hamlet-like tale of Simba, prince of African lions, who battles his evil Uncle Scar for the throne. But before Simba can take his rightful place in the "Circle of Life", he grows up with his two fun-loving friends, wisecracking meerkat Timon and smelly warthog Pumbaa. Together they teach Simba their philosophy of life, "Hakuna Matata" (No Worries). Based on the 1994 Disney film, and book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, the musical includes the Oscar-winning song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Additional songs are by Hans Zimmer, Lebo M, Mark Mancina and Jay Rifkin. This visual feast is famous for director Julie Taymor's complex animal-puppet-human fusion, and is loved by audiences of all ages.

Loved the costumes and performance. It was a tad long for small children in my opinion but a great performance.

I purchased tickets to see The Lion King for the 8pm show on December 28. We chose this time as our flight did not land until about 1:15 that afternoon and would not make it to the 2pm show. When we landed, I immediately got a text from HeadOut that a rep was waiting for us to pick up our tickets. I was confused as I didn't know why we would be meeting so early to get the tickets. I tried calling and texting the person I was to meet and got zero response. I was finally able to do a live chat (as there is no phone number for Headout on their website) and eventually, a representative called me back and claimed that they reviewed my purchase session and I did choose the 2pm show. I explained that there would be no way I would have chosen that show for the reason listed above. I was told to take the tickets to the box office and see if they would exchange them. I called the box office and they said Headout needed to do it. I called Headout back and they said no, they would not do that and basically said it was my problem. We eventually repurchased our tickets through a reputable outlet and really enjoyed the show. It was amazing! I did pay double the price, but our family considered this to be a highlight of our trip.
