What To Expect

The Official Art Deco Gift Shop

Founded in 1976, The Miami Design Preservation League has proudly offered guided walking tours of The Art Deco District for over 40 years. All Proceeds go towards supporting preservation. Visitors are introduced to the history, architecture, and preservation efforts of Miami Beach. Tour ticket includes free admission to the Art Deco Museum and Gift Shop. There are a limited amount of tickets available for each tour, so early bookings are encouraged . Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure for check-in.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Such a great tour! Julie was a great storyteller. She did an awesome job of sharing the history and architecture of Miami Beach. She did a great job of keeping us in the shade and inside with AC. Definitely recommend this your!

A must see. Versace mansion was amazing. I would recommend anyone visiting Miami and that likes a little history to do ths tour.

Overall, I felt the tour was 30-45 minutes too long and included too much information not related to architecture or Art Deco. The tour did show us some of South Beach's iconic Deco buildings, discussed their history, design features, and materials, which were the parts I really enjoyed. But I think all the history of indigenous Miami, it's early founders, etc should be cut to keep the tour more concise.

I’m sorry you did not have a five star experience like 99% of our other reviews. We offer an Art Deco Walking Tour which does include the history of the area because with out all that history people would never be able to understand why we have the greatest amount of Art Deco Architecture in the World as well as what saved it from being torn down. Architecture is an important aspect of all our tours but is only one of the factors in what makes The Art Deco District what it was and what it is today. I’m sorry we did not live up to your expectations.
