When choosing a Ziplining event, there were lots of companies with flashy websites and lots of "add on" activities. But we didn't want an amusement park, we wanted an authentic cloud forest canopy experience. I had used this company 15 years ago and remembered the experience fondly. They didn't disappoint. The crew was friendly and engaging, taking our pictures as we zipped to the platforms and educating us about the trees, birds and monkeys around us. The traverses were well hidden as we hiked through the beautiful reserve. No steel towers to climb here, but we did climb up a strangler fig tree on a rope ladder. Much cooler than a steel tower in my opinion. I'm sure once you're on the traverse, the views are all similar no matter who you choose. But if you want an authentic feeling, and not just an another amusement park, this is the company for you!

The tour is organized to be a step-by-step introduction to zip-lining, and the guides are just brilliant - making us all laugh and generally very kind with those among us who were first-time zip-liners. I strongly recommend the Original Canopy Tour! It was great!

When you find yourself in a rain forest you should take the time to do at least one of if not all of the canopy activities. You are in one of the most biodiverse placed on the planet so unless you have live in a rain forest you might wNt to slow down and pay attention. I mean really slow down and sit, stand in one place for at least 10-15 minutes and use all your senses to observe and absorb this experience. It is not so much about listing the number of flora or fauna you saw but more of the feeling. As the saying goes it is not how many breaths you take but how many take your breath away that matter. Enjoy
