My husband and I absolutely loved this canopy tour. I am apprehensive of heights, but I felt very safe since I was attached at all times. The platforms get quite high up, but it's a beautiful view. The guides are amazing (one of them carried my iPhone for me at all times and took photos the whole way). This tour does a really good job of starting off with short zip lines and working up to longer lines that are higher up. I definitely recommend doing the Tarzan swing at the beginning of the tour; it is so much fun, and will relieve any anxiety you might have.

I first visited CR as a solo traveler in 1998. When I returned this summer with my DH and 11 and 9 y.o. DD's I wanted to have them enjoy the same tour I had--but with all the operators offering zip lines and canopy tours I wasn't sure I'd be able to figure out who I'd used before. Once we approached the Strangler Fig to climb the cargo netted interior I knew I was in the right place. The guides were wonderful--particularly for my daughters and husbands who speak no Spanish and are a bit less adventurous than me :-). When things became more challenging, the guides divided up so that I remained with one child and a guide, while my DH and other DD went off with the other guides. One of the guides took our camera and got some fabulous photos of us. In addition to seeing a family of Howler Monkey's we even got the spectacular opportunity to see a male and female Quetzal (and long enough to get great photos!). PURA VIDA!

we didn't want a mega-attraction, so locals suggested Original Canopy. There were only 5 in our group and our 2 guides (Pancho and Gary) were wonderful. Pancho took our small camera at the beginning and without our ever asking, took great pictures and even an action video at the end. They were fun and friendly and the zips were great; i felt that they were plenty long and fun. Also did a Tarzan swing in the beginning and climbed through a giant tree in the middle. Very good value for $45. Highly recommend.
