I visited the original canopy in Monteverde with a group of friends and it was super fun. At first a little scared but very friendly guides will explain how to have fun flying through the trees. Good equipment and security above all, after a few minutes forget the height and we were astonished by the biodiversity that can be seen in the height of the canopy, by supesto the Tarzan Swing was the best, is like a bungee and really experience the adrenaline but no concern is optional. I definitely recommend the canopy during your stay in Monteverde.

We came to Monteverde with all of the intentions to visit Selvatura's Canopy Tour but we got there too late and were told that we could not do it. So we went down the road to the Original Tour and decided to do the Night Canopy Tour. We loved it......... It was of course scary and out of the ordinary but that is what adventure is all about. Graven and Steven were excellent tour guides with a lot of patience for our small group. It was pitch black in the jungle and all we had were flashlights at our side. It was crazy!!!! A definite must do!!! Now maybe I will have the courage to do it during the day. LOL

My wife and I did the Original Canopy Tour on the last day of our two week Costa Rica vacation. We wanted to finish our trip with a bang. The zip lines did not disappoint. The tour is an excellent balance between a unique nature experience and a thrilling ride. Admittedly we were a bit scared before the tour. Who wouldn't be. Fears were quickly replaced with excitement, however, by both the guide team and the design of the course. The guides were friendly, *very* safety conscious and told us all about the forest in good English. The zip line course starts off gently with a few beginner lines to get the group warmed up and then works up to longer and higher runs. For the brave there are two optional activities, a rappelling-descent and Tarzan swing. I recommend both. As an added bonus the guides took our cameras and shot pictures and videos of us flying along the ropes from all the right angles. The price tag is also very reasonable for what you get. Hanging bridges ain't got nothing on this tour.
