About 2 weeks ago my husband, our 2 older teens, and I did the 6 hour Original City Loop Electric Bike Tour with Sam. (There were 3 other people on the tour with us for a total of 7 + the guide.) It was a terrific way to see and learn about so much of the city in a fun, efficient way. We would never have been able to see as many different parts of the city and landmarks if we had tried to do it by foot, and touring by bike is so much more up close and personal than a bus tour. The tour covered many of the sights we had on our list while originally planning our SF visit. Samantha, our tour guide, was a fun and very knowledgeable guide. I would never have considered riding a bike around city streets on my own, but Sam negotiated the traffic for us and made me feel comfortable riding in a busy city. Having the small electric motors, of course, was awesome. It was great to be able to pedal when we could, but being able to turn on that motor power going up hills was awesome. Tips: - Schedule the tour for the first full day of your SF visit. You'll learn a lot and tick off many of your must-see sights. - If you're inexperienced with city bike riding, having a guide negotiate the traffic and instruct you is a smart way to go. - Book your tour directly through Dylan's website. A few hours after I booked our tour, I needed to change the date to a week earlier. So glad that I did not book through a 3rd party company. Coleman at Dylan's was able to immediately answer my email and easily make the change for us. - Heed the suggestion of dressing in layers. SF is a chilly city, especially while biking, and the temp changes from neighborhood to neighborhood. I highly recommend this tour!

We are so thrilled to hear you had such a great time with Sam on our Original City Loop Tour! Sam is TOO FUNNY and seems to know just about every hidden gem in San Francisco :) You're totally right, booking through tour websites is so much less of a hassle than going through a third policy, we're so happy that we could rearrange your tour without any delays! Thanks so much for taking the time to offer us feedback on your experience with Sam, this really helps us ensure future guests will have as good of a time as you did :)

Sean did a wonderful job leading us on a 6 hr bike tour of San Francisco. Showing us many of the must see places as well as many that we would never would have seen on our own. He was very informative through out the trip and very aware of keeping everyone together and safe. The electric assist bikes were easy to control and a must for the tour, as this was meant to be a relaxing tour and not a work out. Would highly rec this tour as a start of a vacation to get to quickly see most of the city.

Hey Bernard, we agree -- cruising around the city on electric bikes during the Original City Loop Tour is one of the best things to do early in your trip to San Francisco! We cover almost 20 miles across the city, so you're pretty much a local by the end of the ;)

The 6 hour electric bike tour was a highlight of our trip to San Francisco. We originally signed up for the 90 min tour because I am a little shaky on a bike, but it was so much fun and I felt very comfortable, so we decided to keep going the whole 6 hours. Our guide Per was friendly and knowledgeable about every place we visited. The bikes are easy to ride. You peddle, but when faced with those very steep streets, you turn the handle, and zoom, up you go, very easily. You stop very often to see something of interest and take pictures. We went all over the city. For lunch, you stop in the Haight Ashbury district and everyone can go off to the restaurant that they choose. The only tense part for me was peddling through the crowded streets of Chinatown. But we were just 6 people, a small group that was able to stay together and it was a fun experience. We had beautiful weather, but San Francisco is very windy, so I suggest having a light jacket with you.

Hey Cindy, thanks for taking the time to leave some feed -- we always appreciate it. We are so happy to hear that you felt so comfortable exploring on our electric bikes with Per that you decided to stick around for the extended Original City Loop Tour! A leisurely lunch around Haight Ashbury is the perfect way to fuel up for the last leg of the journey. Chinatown is such an incredible neighborhood with the red paper lanterns and golden dragon light posts, even though it can get a bit crowded -- glad to know that Per was able to keep the group together and safe navigating through this must-see neighborhood :)
