What I loved about this tour was that we had a small group - there were only 6 of us, including our tour guide. I did bring a jacket to wear on the tour because the instructions prior to the tour said it gets chilly. I thought I had adequate apparel on, but I was offered a Dylan's sweater to wear over my other jacket before departure and I was SO glad they gave it to me, because I definitely needed more than what I had on. They also give you bottled water as well. The electric bikes themselves were great and easy to operate. I wish I had one at home! The route we took was great and took me through areas of the city I would not have seen otherwise during my visit. Our tour guide was great - very laid back and patient with us, and he also gave us great information about the city along the way. For lunch, we stopped in an area that had a lot of food options, so we were all able to choose where we wanted to go and that was great as well. The highlight for me was seeing the Golden Gate Bridge and having the opportunity to partially walk the bridge. I was so glad there was extra time built into the tour for this. The only downside to this tour - and it is no reflection of Dylan's at all - is that the drivers around the city are awful and rude. I always thought SF was a bike-friendly city, but this tour changed my mind. We were yelled at/cussed at on at least 3 occasions towards the end of our tour by drivers who were seemingly in a rush and didn't have patience to wait on us to cross intersections. Honestly I never expected people in SF to be super-nice (coming from Texas where everyone is really friendly), but I also didn't expect to get cussed out by strangers. Guess they don't like tourists! I'd highly recommend Dylan's tours if you enjoy bike tours and want to get an overview of the city. Just watch out for vehicles - they're really aggressive in this city.

Hey Kathleen, thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback -- we always appreciate the honesty. You're not alone -- most travelers don't anticipated just how cold it can get zipping around town on the electric bikes. Glad you appreciated the extra time to walk onto the Golden Gate Bridge to capture some photos! If you have your heart set on an e-bike, you should check out the offerings from Pedego -- that who we use. Keeping our tour groups small is a priority for offering an intimate experience around SF, but also to easily navigate through the streets. It's usually transplants to the city driving around -- the SF natives are the friendly ones on the bikes and buses ;) Even though we can't control other people on the road, safe is always our top concern and hope that your guide kept you feeling safe, despite some bad apples on the roads.
