We can't take a walk through the west village without stopping by the Friends building! But there are SO many more stories we can tell you about this famous block!

I’ve done several food tours with Foods of NY Tours and I cannot stop recommending this company to everyone I meet. As a fairly new resident of the NYC metro area, my partner and I seek out new and fun experiences. We love learning about the culture and history of the city. He surprised me with a food tour for a birthday gift, and we had the BEST time. Every single piece of the tour was perfect. Each spot was chosen carefully, the food was incredible, and I now share the amazing stories and history of the area whenever a visiting friend is around. I’m making it a personal mission to go on every food tour, because I have learned the best places to eat, snack, or hang out in a community garden. I’m positive every tour guide is excellent, but I don’t know how I could stray away from the wonderful experiences I’ve had with Bert and Jackie as guides. Their enthusiasm for this world of rich culture is evident, they truly take the time to make every guest’s experience as wonderful as possible. I wish I was kidding when I say this is the first thing I suggest to friends when they visit. They always ask me “well which one have you NOT done?” and I always end up repeating tours because I want my friends to have the same amazing experience I did. (It also means I get to have all of the food again) You will not regret booking a tour, you may end up finding your new favorite restaurant (Tacombi I love you) or running into your tour guide out in the city! We had such a fun time on our food tour of Greenwich village. All the food bites were really good and unique, but my favorite part was all the local history surrounding the food and the village itself. Our tour guide was wonderful and you could really feel his passion for the area, all the little tidbits and knowledge were so much fun! We are so glad we booked this tour and will 100% recommend it to friends.
