This tour weaved together an astonishing tapestry of the psychiatric field's impact not only on the neighborhood but on the city as a whole with lots of nods to modern culture at large. Entertaining, enlightening, and sometimes alarming all at the same time, this tour was thoroughly researched and led by a guide who tied it all together with humor and a knack for storytelling. I would highly recommend this tour for visitors looking for something different in their tourism or for those living in NYC who seek surprising details hidden right under their noses.

Very nice walk through the upper east side. Krombie is an experienced guide who knows her subject well. A very original approach to discover the neighborhood with a new eye. The small group format is very friendly and allows for easy discussion. The tour is in English only and requires a good command of the language, I will try the other tours offered by purefinder.
