This tour includes lunch, combines our Boldt Castle Tour stopping at Heart Island for a tour of Millionaire George Boldt's Rhineland style castle, a cruise through Millionaires Row viewing magnificent summer homes of the rich and famous of the gilded age, and a stop at Rock Island Lighthouse to visit the "Keepers Cottage" Museum & Gift Shop and climb to the top of lighthouse to enjoy the spectacular view of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home. A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years… The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority (TIBA), who owns and operates Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House, invite you to explore our website. Rock Island Lighthouse State Park

Stop at Rock Island Lighthouse State Park where visitors can climb to the top of the Lighthouse, walk the island, and visit the keepers cottage which is a museum and gift shop.

We enjoyed our tour Sunday July 18th. Chuck was our captain and Dennis was our guide. We loved every minute, beautiful weather, scenery and company. The size of the boat and tour was perfect. The food was fresh and homemade. We enjoyed both stops, the castle did not disappoint. And the visit to Rock Island was quaint and extremely informative and peaceful. My only advice would be to share more about the experience and movie offering at the castle. The audio tour was a nice addition. Excited to come back. Would highly recommend Clayton Boat Tours. Dennis' recommendation to eat at Channelside was perfect, excited to see Clayton and the area by car today.

The trip was awesome. The guide was excellent. He knew so much history and had funny one-liners. The lunch that was furnished was very good and more than enough. The scenery was fabulous. The Boldt Castle and lighthouse stops were great. I would definitely recommend this tour.
