This place used to be an enjoyable experience, it’s now become an expensive tourist trap. I’ve taken many visitors to New York and usually recommend Top of the Rock. On my most recent visit though, I found it to be too crowded, hard to get a decent picture due to people hogging the view on the upper deck, and employees were constantly yelling at people and treating them like cattle. My recommendation is to skip this overpriced place and find a rooftop bar with a good view where you can relax.

Favorite part was obviously the view from Top of the Rock. Only con, (and I understand that it is the Christmas season and this area is popular) - the "line" to get in was nonexistent. There was one sweet guy that was trying to organize everyone and he did the best that he could but it was CHAOS. Something needs to be done about this because no one could hear the guy and everyone was walking up and asking him the same question over and over. At the very least, there should be a sign or a rope to get in line.

Beautiful views but pricey to go to in the building. Guess somebody has to pay the rent. One and done for me.
